How to Measure you Head Size.

To determine your hat size, follow these 4 simple steps:

Step 1.

Using either a soft tape measure or a piece of string – Measure the circumference around your head.

Step 2.

The tape should be level, in the centre of your forehead and just above the top of your ears. It is useful to have someone assist in holding the tape which should be adjusted to a comfortable fit and the measurement taken.

Step 3.

Then check our size chart above to determine your size.

Step 4.

If your size falls between two sizes, choose the next size up. You can always attach foam fillers (available for sale) to ensure a snug fit.

Another Fine Akubra

I have a lot of hats, more than half are Akubra, some Stetson, some Borsalino. Akubra hats are hands down the finest I own. Top shelf in every detail and a real pleasure to wear, even in Chicago. The leather hats band (not available here) and the opal are appreciated details. I have a couple of Stylemasters, three Banjo Patersons, a few others. They are all really great hats and this one is certainly no exception. Shipping was fast and flawless. Hats X 100 was great and I will be shopping with them again. Very highly recommended. Thanks!

A Fantastic Hat!

This was my first Akubra purchase and my first experience with buying from an Australian hat store. I couldn’t be more pleased with the hat or the store … in fact, I’ve since purchased the Tablelands and the Riverina from Hats by the 100. There are some vendors of Akubra hats in the US, but they usually don’t have an inventory of sizes and colors like Hats by the 100. When you compare the cost of buying and shipping from Australia to buying from a US vendor … the difference is usually the international delivery time — costs are pretty much the same. The quality of hat construction is very good and so is the fit. Lined hats are less breathable here in SW Florida, hence the purchase of the Tablelands and Riverina — both unlined and vented. I’m a fan of Akubra hats and Hats by the 100! If you’re on the fence … go ahead and buy — you won’t be disappointed!
